Our paper on locomotion control of cyborg insects over sandy terrain with unknown obstacles has been selected for the Editors’ Highlights（Applied physics and mathematics） of Nature Communications. This feature showcases 50 outstanding articles that are particularly noteworthy in the fields of applied physics and mathematics. Our study demonstrates the potential of a novel swarm control technique enabled by an innovative algorithm utilizing cyborg insects.
