Tomofumi Horiuchi (B4) took part in a schooling fish experiment from June 12 to June 14 at the Shirahama Experimental Station in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture. The experiment was conducted as part of a JSPS KAKENHI Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (A) project titled "Understanding and Controlling Schooling Behavior for Selective Fishing," led by the Takagi Laboratory from the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University.
During this period, I had the opportunity to observe and assist with behavioral experiments on fish conducted by the Takagi Lab at Kindai University's Shirahama Experimental Station. It was a valuable experience to witness the actual behavior of fish firsthand. I hope to apply what I learned from this opportunity to my future research. Thank you very much for the experience.
