Mr. Maeda, a first-year master’s student (M1), presented his research titled “Modeling and Analysis of Locust Swarms with OR35-Deficient Individuals” at The 2025 SICE Festival with Annual Conference, held from September 9 to September 12 at The Empress Hotel and Convention Centre in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
As this was his first international conference, he felt quite nervous at first, but successfully completed his presentation without any major issues. The experience was both a relief and a valuable reminder of the importance of further improving his English proficiency.
After the presentation, he also had the opportunity to receive insightful feedback and advice from several professors, which proved to be very beneficial. He hopes to make good use of this experience in his future research activities.
