A paper by Taiga Sone from our laboratory, titled
“Risk-Aware Model Predictive Control via Temporal Deep Unrolling,”
has been accepted to the European Control Conference (ECC 2026). ECC is one of the major international conferences in the field of control theory, and we are very happy about this achievement.
The paper proposes a new framework for model predictive control that explicitly considers risk. In the final stage before submission, the numerical experiments and figures were repeatedly refined and reorganized. The project required many careful adjustments and repeated trials, and Taiga steadily worked through these challenges until the work finally took shape. His persistence played a major role in achieving this acceptance.
The final version of the paper and the presentation are now being prepared. We look forward to presenting this work in Reykjavik. Congratulations, Taiga!
