M2 student Sone presented his research at the 28th Workshop on Information-Based Induction Sciences (IBIS2025), held from November 12 to 15 at Naha Cultural Arts Theater NAHArt in Naha City. His presentation was titled “Vehicle Stabilization and Unfavorable Region Avoidance via Risk-Aware Model Predictive Control Using Conditional Value-at-Risk.”
At IBIS2025, I had the opportunity to present my work in a poster session. Since the session lasted for two hours, many participants stopped by to listen. I received a wide range of comments and questions, all of which were extremely valuable for the future development of my research.
Presentations by other participants covered topics such as phase transition phenomena, diffusion models, and knowledge distillation—fields I had not previously engaged with—which made the experience highly stimulating.
The venue was located near Kokusai-dori in Naha, an area full of restaurants and lively atmosphere. I also learned that next year’s workshop will be held in Omiya, so those interested may consider attending.
