• Research Student

  Carefully read the Hiroshima University Research Students webpage for detailed guidelines and procedures. Research students ("kenkyuusei") are admitted to pursue specific research topics under the supervision of an assigned faculty member for a period of 6 months or 1 year. Note: Research students do not receive degrees upon completing their research work. Most applicants seeking admission to a graduate school at Hiroshima University begin as research students before advancing to formal graduate programs. If you are interested in applying, please follow the steps below.

  1. Complete the designated form to initiate the approval process with Professor Ogura for your application as a Research Student at the Complex Systems Science Laboratory. If you encounter any issues while completing the form, please contact Professor Ogura directly.
  2. If your application passes the prescreening stage, you will be contacted by a staff member to arrange a 15-minute interview.
  3. Upon successfully passing the interview, a representative from the graduate school will contact you to guide you through the final steps of the application process.

• Master's Course: Special Selection for International Students

  Depending on your academic background, you may qualify to apply for the Special Selection for International Students [For Students Living Outside Japan] and begin your studies directly at the graduate school. Enrollments typically take place in April and October, with application periods generally being in early November and early May. Please check the most updated dates on the Hiroshima University Graduate School website to ensure accuracy.

  Carefully read the Hiroshima University Admission Guide for detailed guidelines and procedures. The Special Selection for International Students is designed for non-Japanese students living outside Japan who wish to pursue a Master's program at Hiroshima University. The selection process includes document screening and an oral examination conducted online. Applicants must fulfill all conditions outlined in the application guide, including submitting a consent form from their prospective academic supervisor. If you are interested in applying, please follow the steps below.

  1. Complete the designated form to initiate the process of obtaining approval from Professor Masaki Ogura for your application in the Special Selection for International Students at the Complex Systems Science Laboratory, Hiroshima University. If you encounter any issues while completing the form, contact Professor Ogura directly.

  2. If your application passes the prescreening stage, you will be contacted by a staff member to arrange a 30-minute interview.

  3. Upon successfully passing the interview, you will be contacted by a representative from the graduate school to complete the final steps of your application process.

• MEXT奖学金

  I have experience accommodating students funded by the MEXT Scholarship.
